# NUMERICAL SECTION 1: 0 through 9.

0.
Powerful extradimensional entity who is an enemy of the Q. ("Q-Space" [Pocket TNG #47]; "Q-Zone" [Pocket TNG #48]; "Q-Strike" [Pocket TNG #49]).
40 Eridani.
40 Eridani is a system of 3 stars located about 16.45 light-years (5 parsecs) from Sol. Located in the Eridanus constellation, they are also known as Omicron 2 Eridani. This group was called Keid (the Eggshells) by Arab astronomers. 40 Eridani A is a orange-red dwarf, and is home to the Federation's 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards, as well as the planet Vulcan. 40 Eridani B and 40 Eridani C are a binary pair that orbit each other at a period of about 252 years, anywhere between 21 and 49 AUs distant from each other. B-C are in an orbit with an 8,000 year period about 418 AUs from A. 40 Eri B was the first white dwarf star to be recorded by Terran astronomers. ("Spock's World" [Pocket TOS HC]). It has never been canonically established that 40 Eridani A is the location of Vulcan, but it has been a popular piece of information throughout licensed works and fandom. The reference has worked its way into a number of background graphics and artwork, for example the dedication plaques listing the fleet construction yards there.
40 Eridani A.
40 Eridani A is one of three stars in the 40 Eridani System, and primary to planet Vulcan. 40 Eri A is a main sequence, orange-red dwarf about 85 percent of Sol's diameter. This star system is also home to the 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards, a Federation shipbuilding facility.
40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards.
Federation shipyards located in the 40 Eridani A star system in the 24th century. The Miranda-class starship Brattain was built by Yoyodyne Division at these yards on stardate 22519.5. The Nebula-class starship Phoenix was built by Yoyodyne Division at these yards on stardate 40250.5. ("Night Terrors" [TNG]; "The Wounded" [TNG]). The existence of these shipyards is not from aired dialogue, but is derived from the text of the starship dedication plaques.
40 Eridani B.
40 Eridani B is one of three stars in the 40 Eridani System. 40 Eri B is locked in orbit with 40 Eridani C, both of which orbit the primary 40 Eridani A. 40 Eri B was the first white dwarf star to be recorded by Terran astronomers. ("Spock's World" [Pocket TOS HC]).
40 Eridani C.
40 Eridani C is one of three stars in the 40 Eridani System. 40 Eri C is locked in orbit with 40 Eridani B, both of which orbit the primary 40 Eridani A. ("Spock's World" [Pocket TOS HC]).
602 Club.
The 602 Club was a bar on Earth in the 22nd Century. Many of the pilots and engineers involved in the NX Project based at the Warp Five Complex frequented this establishment, including Jonathan Archer and A. G. Robinson. The walls of the 602 Club are decorated with many astronautical illustrations, including a portrait of Zefram Cochrane's warp drive prototype Phoenix, the DY-100 class sleeper ship SS Botany Bay, and the Enterprise XCV-330. ("First Flight" [ENT])
61 Cygni.
Binary star system in the heart of the Federation, home of the planet Tellar. (Star Fleet Technical Manual [Franz Joseph Designs]).
