Fabre, Mariamna.: ("A Fury Scorned" [Pocket TNG #43]).
Fabrina.: Star system containing eight planets that were destroyed ten thousand years ago when it's star went nova. It had been the home of the Fabrini people. ("For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky" [TOS #65]).
Fabrini.: Humanoid species. The Fabrini are one of the galaxy's oldest civilized races, having achieved heights of science and technology unequalled by the Federation. Their home star system went nova over ten thousand years ago destroying all but a handful of their people who escaped on the artificial worldship, Yonada. The ship, which was governed by a strict religious code, enforced by a computer known as the Oracle designed to guide the inhabitants to their destination, made planetfall at New Fabrina in 2270. Fajo, Kivas.: Zibalian trader. ("The Most Toys" [TNG #70]).
fal-tor-pan.: Vulcan ceremony. ("The Search for Spock" [Movie #3]).
Falangian diamond.: ("Broken Link" [DS9 #98]).
Falchion, I.K.S.: Klingon battleship, B'rel-class bird of prey. Commanded by Kyron. ("Dreams of the Raven" [Pocket TOS #34]).
Falcon.: ("Our Man Bashir" [DS9 #82]).
Fall River, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Ianetos-class superscout, Starfleet registry NCC-715. (Ships of the Star Fleet).
Falmor Hann, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Brande-class frigate, Starfleet registry NCC-9009. Built in 2294 at the Gibraltar fleet yards on Terra. The Falmor Hann went missing in 2358. (FASA Officer's Manual [TNG]).
Faltos.: ("Here Today" [DC TNG #6]).
Far Pel VII.: Planet where Federation archaeologists uncovered an entire Darzun city intact. ("Thin Ice" [DC TNG vol.2 Annual #2]).
Faraday.: Nurse on the Enterprise-D. In 2367 she was on the shuttle Einstein when it was trapped in the Gamma Quadrant. ("The Flight of the Albert Einstein" [DC TNG vol.2 #20]).
Farallon.: ("The Quality of Life" [TNG #135]). Played by Ellen Bry.
Faramond.: ("Best Destiny" [Pocket TOS HC #5]).
Farius Prime.: ("Demons of Air and Darkness" [Pocket Gateways #4]; "Twilight" [Pocket DS9 Mission: Gamma #1]).
Farmer.: Crewman on the Enterprise-D who was at the conn when they recieved a distress call from the U.S.S. Marco Polo in 2367. ("Thin Ice" [DC TNG vol.2 Annual #2]).
Farpoint Station.: Spaceport facility on Deneb IV. Farpoint was in reality a giant shape shifting space creature captured by Deneb's Bandi inhabitants and forced to take the form of the station. The starship Enterprise-D discovered this and aided the creature in returning to it's mate in space. ("Encounter at Farpoint" [TNG #1&2]).
Farragut, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Constitution-class heavy cruiser, Starfleet registry NCC-1647. Commanded by Captain Garrovick. The Farragut was Lt. James Kirk's first assignment after graduating from the Academy. In 2257, 100 members of the Farragut's crew, including the captain, were killed by the dikironium cloud creature on Tycho IV. Subsequently, while the Farragut was limping back to Federation space, in silent running due to proximity with Romulan territory, it was attacked by extradimensional parasites that invaded the ship and cocooned crew in the secondary hull. The ship was separated thanks to the bravery of Lt. Kirk and the infested hull destroyed. After replacing her hull, the Farragut was returned to active duty. In 2269, under the command of Captain Douglas Phillips, participated in warp powered shield tests with the starships Enterprise and Exeter. The Farragut was later retired and used as a cadet training vessel. ("Obsession" [TOS #47]; "Debt of Honor" [DC TOS Graphic Novel]; "First Frontier" [Pocket TOS #75]; Federation Starship Recognition Manual [FASA RPG]). The Franz Joseph Technical Manual and SotSF list the registry of the ship as NCC-1702, as did the graphic novel "Debt of Honor."
Farragut, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Nebula-class heavy cruiser, Starfleet registry NCC-60591. Second starship to bear the name Farragut, it was involved in the 2371 evacuation of Enterprise-D crewmembers in the Veridian system, and soon afterwards was destroyed by a Romulan attack. ("Generations" [TMP #7]; "The Return" [Pocket TNG HC]).
Farragut, U.S.S.: Federation starship. Third starship to bear the name. The Farragut was destroyed by Klingon allied forces in 2373 when en route to Ajilon Prime to relieve ground troups during the Archanis War. ("Nor the Battle for the Strong" [DS9 #102]).
Farrell, John.: Lieutenant on the original Enterprise. ("The Enemy Within" [TOS]; "Mudd's Women" [TOS]; "Miri" [TOS]). Played by Jim Goodwin.
Farrell (mirror).: ("Mirror, Mirror" [TOS]).
Fearless, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Excelsior-class explorer, Starfleet registry NCC-14598. The propulsion specialist Kosinski and his assistant the Traveler performed a series of software upgrades on the Fearless engines in 2364. The Fearless was one of the squad that oversaw the dismantling of secret Catarr bases near Gamma Ysalis in 2367. ("Wet Behind the Ears" [DC TNG vol.2 #32]).

Federation-class.: Type of Federation starship, classified as a dreadnought. The dreadnought project was spearheaded in the late 2260s by Admiral Vaughan Rittenhouse, who planned to use this type of vessel to facilitate his own takeover of Starfleet from the inside. The prototype dreadnought, the Star Empire, was built to different specifications than the rest of the class, due to his intent to use it as a warship. A group of Starfleet officers stole this prototype to thwart his plans, and Rittenhouse was subsequently killed by his own recovery effort when battle broke out. A more traditional design was used for the remaining ships in the series, designed to be used not as galactic battlewagons, but instead as deterrents against conflict. These vessels became an important source of strength in military action in the subsequent decade. The final dreadnought design put into production measures 320 meters in overall length, with 24 decks carrying a crew of 500 men and combatants. ("Dreadnought! [Pocket TOS]; Technical Manual [TOS]).
Federation Council.: ("The Voyage Home" [Movie #4]).
Feeniks-Denn IV.: Federation world. ("The Legacy of Elenor Dain" [WildStorm Star Trek Special #1]).
Fein.: In the mirror universe, a security ensign on the I.S.S. Enterprise. Fein was murdered by Lt. Uhura when she freed Kirk and Sulu from detainment. ("Fragile Glass" [Marvel Mirror, Mirror #1]).
Fek'lhr.: ("Devil's Due" [TNG]). Played by Thad Lamey.
Fellini.: ("Tomorrow is Yesterday" [TOS]).
Fencer, I.K.S.: Klingon battleship, D-4 battlecruiser type. Commanded by Captain Krenn. ("The Final Reflection" [Pocket TOS #16]).
Ferengi.: Humanoid species. ("Encounter at Farpoint" [TNG #1&2]; "The Last Outpost" [TNG #7]; "Emissary" [DS9 #1&2]).
Ferengi Alliance.: Ruling authority of the Ferengi people. ("The Last Outpost" [TNG #7]).
Ferengi Commerce Authority.: SEE: FCA.
Ferengi marauder.: Ferengi starship. SEE: D'Kora-class.
Ferenginar.: Homeworld of the Ferengi species, and center of the Ferengi Alliance. Ferenginar is the location of the Sacred Marketplace and the Tower of Commerce. Ferenginar has an extremely wet climate, so much that the Ferengi language has one-hundred seventy-eight words for rain. They also have no word for crisp. A terrible financial disaster struck Ferenginar in the mid twenty-fourth century, causing rampant inflation and currency devaluation. This catastrophe became known as the Great Monetary Collapse.
Fermi.: ("Rascals" [TNG]).
Fernandes-class.: Type of Federation starship classified as a cruiser escort. ("Avenger" [Pocket TOS HC]).
Ferris.: ("The Galileo Seven" [TOS]).
Fesarius.: First Federation starship. ("The Corbomite Maneuver" [TOS #2]).
Feynman.: ("Chain of Command" [TNG]).
Feynman, U.S.S.: Federation starship, a science vessel. While observing a subspace plasma vent originating on a high gravitic flux asteroid, the Feynman crashed, but all surviving crewmembers were rescued thanks to the heroics of Peter Kirk and a rescue team from the starship Enterprise-A. ("Bloodline" [WildStorm Star Trek Special #1]).
field inverter.: Device that can be used in battle to neutralize another ship's shields. An Aresian triad used an inverter of this type to destroy a Cardassian vessel in the Gamma Quadrant in 2371. ("Gods of War" [Malibu DS9 #25]).
Finnegan.: ("Shore Leave" [TOS]).
Finney, Benjamin.: Former Starfleet lieutenant commander, records officer aboard the starship Enterprise. ("Court Martial" [TOS]). Played by Richard Webb.
Finney, Jamie.: ("Court Martial" [TOS]). Played by Alice Rawlings.
Fire Blossom, I.K.S.: Klingon battleship. ("How Much for Just the Planet?" [Pocket TOS]).
Fire in Frost.: Poetry and prose compilation written in the early 2260s by Hosato Sulu. ("Enterprise: The First Adventure" [Pocket Giant #1]).
Fire Plains.: ("Innocence" [VGR]).
Firebrand, U.S.S.: Federation starship, Freedom-class, Starfleet registry NCC-68723. Lost in the battle at Wolf 359 ("The Best of Both Worlds" [TNG]).
First Federation.: ("The Corbomite Maneuver" [TOS #2]).
Fisher.: Geologic technician aboard the starship Enterprise. ("The Enemy Within" [TOS #4]; "Present Tense" [Pocket TOS Janus Gate #1]).
Fitzsimmons.: Subordinate of Spock's in the science department of the Enterprise in 2269. She assisted during his briefing on the asteroid world Chatalia. ("World Without End" [Bantam TOS]).
Fitzpatrick.: Starfleet admiral. ("The Haunting of Thallus" [Marvel TOS]).
552-4.: Space vessel that participated in the 2260s Great Starship Race, a Tholian starship commanded by Kmmta. ("The Great Starship Race" [Pocket TOS #67]).
Fletcher-class.: Type of Federation starship used in the later 2100s/early 2200s, classified as a destroyer. The starships Fletcher and William Jennings Bryant were of this design. (Conjecture).
Fletcher, U.S.S.: Federation starship, prototype for the Fletcher-class destroyer, Starfleet registry NCC-312. Named for the North American destroyer from Terra's World War II. (Conjecture).
