H SECTION 3: Hi through Hz.

Hideki-class.
Type of Cardassian spaceship, used as fighters and patrol vessels carrying a crew of about 30. Gul Evek was commanding a Hideki-class patroller when he took O"Brien into custody in 2370. Several of the vessels were involved in the Cardassian invasion of the Bajor system in 2373, and throughout the current Cardassian/Federation conflict. ("Tribunal" [DS9]). In real life, this class may have been named by writers in honor of Japanese physicist Yukawa Hideki, who first postulated the existence of the subatomic pion in 1935. However, it is unclear why Cardassians might so recognize an Earth scientist. It seems more likely the Cardassian version of the name is only coincidentally the same.
Hiemdal, U.S.S.
Federation starship proposed during the 23rd century. This vessel's construction was cancelled, and it's registry was assigned to another vessel. (Technical Manual [Franz Joseph TOS]; Ships of the Star Fleet [Mastercom]). It's possible ships of these names were still built, of different classes and registry numbers. If built, this ship would have been Achernar-class, with the registry NCC-1793, according to the manuals.
Higgins, U.S.S.
Federation starship, a dreadnought type vessel in the mid to late 23rd century. This ship had a complement was over 500 crewpeople, and was armed with six phaser emplacements and eight launch tubes. (Begin Tactical Starship Simulator [Clockwork Software]).
Hilioko.

Himalias V.
Federation world with a well known orbital art museum facility. In 2365 this station exhibited artwork by Elenor Dain, created after a transporter accident stranded her on a remote planet for the remainder of her life until a Starfleet party discovered her body and works. ("The Legacy of Elenor Dain" [WildStorm Star Trek Special #1]).
Hipp, Andrea.
("Red Sector" [Pocket TNG #53]).
Hirogen.
Humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant. In 2376 a Hirogen vessel chose the Malon tanker Apsac as its prey. The Malons were successful in destroying the ship by venting their waste tanks, but died when the Hirogen alpha beamed aboard and slaughtered them. ("Demons of Air and Darkness" [Pocket DS9 Gateways]).
Hirogen ship.
Small but heavily armed cruiser spacecraft used by Hirogen hunters in the Delta Quadrant. Usually piloted by two hunters, these vessels were equipped with monotanium armor plating. Hirogen ships had dicyclic warp signatures. In 2376 a Hirogen vessel chose the Malon tanker Apsac as its prey. The Malons were successful in destroying the ship by venting their waste tanks. ("Hunters" [VGR]; "Prey [VGR]; "Demons of Air and Darkness" [Pocket DS9 Gateways]).
Hodges, Philip.
Captain of the starship Valor in 2285. ("Mortal Gods" [DC TOS #5]).
Hoffman.
Starfleet officer. In an alternate timeline, Captain Hoffman briefly commanded the starship Enterprise after the departure of Captain Pike. ("Present Tense" [Pocket TOS Janus Gate #1]).
Hokule'a-class
Type of Federation starship. The U.S.S. Tripoli, the ship whose crew discovered Data at Omicron Theta in 2338, was a Hokule'a-class starship. ("Datalore [TNG]). No design has yet been developed for the Hokule'a-class starship, the designation was taken from background signage devised by Michael Okuda's graphics department. From the Hawaiian word meaning "star of gladness."
Hokule'a, U.S.S.
Federation starship, prototype for the Hokule'a-class. (Conjecture).
Holarnis, Zar.

Hood, U.S.S.
Federation starship, Excelsior-class heavy cruiser, Starfleet registry NCC-42296. In 2378 the Hood was part of Battle Group Omega, an expeditionary force detailed to participate in possible conflicts resulting from an uprising in the Romulan heartworlds. ("Encounter at Farpoint" [TNG #1&2]; "Nemesis" [Movie #10]).
Hopton.
("Dreadnought!" [Pocket TOS #29]).
Hornet, U.S.S.

(Technical Manual [Franz Joseph TOS]; Ships of the Star Fleet [Mastercom TOS]; Begin Tactical Starship Simulator [Clockwork Software]; Federation Ship Recgonition Manual [FASA TOS]; "Dreadnought!" [Pocket TOS #29]). The Technical Manual and SotSF list this as a possible Constitution-class vessel. The FASA manual does as well, listing the registry as NCC-1778, which is the number used by the Technical Manual for the U.S.S. Mazda.
Hornet, U.S.S.
Federation starship, Renaissance-class, Starfleet registry NCC-45231. The Hornet served in Picard's armada to blockade Romulan supply ships supplying the Duras family forces during the Klingon civil war of 2367-2368. ("Redemption" [TNG]). The Hornet was named for an American aircraft carrier that fought at the Battle of Midway in World War II. Years later, another ship with that name was the recovery vessel for the Apollo 11 moon landing mission.
Horok, U.S.S.
If built, this ship would have been Achernar-class, with the registry NCC-1748, according to the manuals.
